Council have completed the construction of a new public toilet at Opossum Bay Play Park. The works involved building an entirely new toilet facility in a new location and feature modern services, disability access and a junior toilet for the kids.

During construction of the new toilet block, several items of play equipment were removed from the playground. Replacement equipment has been ordered and will be installed in December 2024.

Replacement equipment includes a double swing frame with two seats and a basket swing, a double spring see-saw, and a small carousel. The existing combination unit with slide will be retained for now. In early 2025, council will consult the Opossum Bay community on the style and design of a replacement equipment to ensure it meets the needs of the community.

The old toilet located at the car park at 24 Spitfarm Road will be closed.
