We are looking for fun, energetic and enthusiastic people to join us as Educators for our Outside School Hours Care service.

Our service is a not-for-profit organisation that caters for over 1000 primary school children per week.  We offer Before and After school care and Vacation care within the grounds of 7 different primary schools within the Clarence municipality.

About casual Educator positions

We are looking for people from all walks and stages of life, with the strong ability to:

  • Create an interactive, warm and caring environment for children
  • Develop rapport with children (4 to 12 years)
  • Contribute to a quality program that will inspire children’s imagination and sense of learning and adventure
  • Be a positive role model, teach children through modelling and the demonstration of appropriate behaviour and language; and
  • Work well within a team
  • You must provide a National Police Check Certificate
  • You must provide a Working with Vulnerable People Registration card

What we offer you

  • Casual contract
  • Hourly rate: $32.25 (includes 25% loading)
  • Superannuation: 11.5%
  • Classified under the Local Government Industry Award [MA000112]

The positions are not for regularly scheduled shifts and staff will be called upon as needed for peak times. The shifts may be infrequent. However, this is a great chance to join the team and demonstrate your skills and experience in this industry within a growing organisation.

Hours of operation are:

  • Monday – Friday
  • Before School Care:  7:00 am – 9:00 am
  • After School Care: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
  • Vacation Care: 7:30 am – 6:00 pm
