Before and After School Care is for primary school children from Kindergarten to Grade 6.

At our services children are encouraged to participate in supervised activities that are safe and fun. We offer a variety of indoor and outdoor activities as well as quiet times and areas for rest or homework.

Each child is respected as a unique person with his or her own needs, experiences, abilities and interests. We foster children’s needs by offering and planning for a safe, stimulating, happy and caring environment.

Our educators are responsive, caring and able to listen to your child’s concerns and needs, while guiding their behaviour. They enjoy caring for children and attend training courses on a regular basis to update their skills.

Our philosophy

  • We provide a quality service that is responsive to the needs of children, parents and educators and is based on the principles and practices outlined in the National Quality Framework.
  • We value each child’s emerging identity, unique personality, perspectives, abilities and interests.
  • We believe in creating a safe, warm and caring environment based on secure and responsive relationships where each child can learn to be independent, resilient and capable, and where they can develop the confidence and social skills to experience positive relationships with others.
  • We believe in the importance of both indoor and outdoor play-based experiences that allow children to develop a sense of the world around them, participate in trial and error exploration, discover, be creative, develop ideas, experience success and learn to cope with disappointment.
  • We acknowledge children’s individual learning styles by providing experiences that engage them in both child-initiated and adult facilitated experiences that support their learning and development and will empower them to reach their full potential.
  • We believe in providing environments that inspire curiosity and where each child is able to keep alive their inborn sense of wonder by having the companionship of educators who can share in discovering the joy, excitement and mystery of our world.
  • We believe in collaborative partnerships with families to achieve the best outcomes for children. We respect families’ beliefs, values, cultural backgrounds, traditions, life experiences and knowledge. We encourage the sharing of culture, language and experiences between staff, families and educators.
  • We believe in building respectful and responsive connections with parents, guardians, children and the wider community.
  • We are committed to supporting professional development that enhances the skills abilities and interests of educators and staff.
  • We are community based and not for profit. We believe in reinvesting in our staff, programs and facilities to maintain a high standard of service.
  • We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land in which we live and work. We encourage staff, educators and children to explore, respect and care for our environment and all living things.
