We’re on the lookout for a motivated and resourceful Planner with great communication skills to join our growing team. You’ll get to work on a wide range of planning applications and be part of some interesting projects. You’ll be joining a supportive, knowledgeable and experienced City Planning team that values collaboration and fresh ideas.
Key responsibilities
- Give helpful, timely advice on planning matters to the public, developers, and other teams – including early guidance on use/development and subdivision proposals.
- Review and process planning applications, do site visits when needed, and work with other teams to make sure everything lines up with council and state policies and rules.
- Contribute to planning legislation and policy updates and help out with projects to improve planning processes.
- Support the team by handling planning enquiries, assisting colleagues, helping with planning compliance matters and contributing to a positive, solutions-focused workplace.
About you
- Suitable tertiary qualification in planning or associated field, or satisfactory progress towards such a qualification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of legislation and policy relevant to planning processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary building and planning issues and principles.
What we offer you
- Base salary between $89,760.55 and $99,774.18 will be offered (dependent on skills and experience) + 12.5% superannuation
- Permanent/full-time
