Warning: Give way to horses and use your voice to communicate with their riders when passing. Bike riders need to ride at an appropriate speed so they can stop and give way when encountering others. Beginner mountain bikers will need to dismount on steep sections. The southern part of the Mortimer Bay Coastal Track has a narrow section with handrail so proceed with care and give horses plenty of room. There is a steep climb up Collins Springs Hill (Palana Court can be used as an alternative) and at the start of the Storm Bay View Track. The Hidden Valley Track has a steep descent at the start.
