Grote Reber Museum & Mt Pleasant Radio Telescope Observatory

The Grote Reber Museum showcases the life and work of Tasmanian radio astronomer, Grote Reber, ‘the father of radio astronomy’

The University of Tasmania owns the Mt Pleasant Radio Telescope Observatory and Grote Reber Museum.

Tours are available by appointment only and includes viewing the observatory and a close-up look at the ‘big dish’ and control room, the Grote Reber Museum and viewing of mini movies in the virtual reality theatre.
