After you obtain a permit to subdivide land and complete the necessary works with the Land Titles Office, your land surveyor must lodge subdivision plans for sealing by the council.
We need the surveyor to include:
- proof that all Subdivision Permit conditions are met
- provision of a road or footpath
- connection to water infrastructure
- connection to sewer infrastructure
- connection to public stormwater
- connection to an electricity supply
- drainage of stormwater under a State Road
Once we receive this, we will email an invoice. When the invoice is paid we will make sure all items have been complied with, and then will seal the plans and forward them directly to the Recorder of Titles for registration.
Strata title
Strata and staged development schemes divide a property into lots and common property, typically to allow for separate ownership of multi-use developments, such as a block of flats, business or industrial complexes.
If you are considering a strata application, we recommend that you consult a land surveyor.
Your land surveyor will make sure that the following have been completed:
- Plumbing Completion issued
- Building Completion issued
- All Planning Permit conditions have been met
- Engineering Design Approval
- TasWater Certificate of Certifiable Works
- Evidence of compliance of these matters are required at the time of lodgement of your
- strata plan.
Once we have received the application, we will send an an invoice. Once it is paid, we will review the application and, when we are sure that all items have been complied with, the plans will be signed,
you will be asked to collect them from the council chambers.
To apply, complete and email the below form along with the required information outlined on the form to cityplanning@ccc.tas.gov.au.
