We’re inviting the Clarence community to provide feedback on the Draft Clarence Cycling Strategy 2025-2035.

This 10-year strategy sets out the guiding principles for further development of an integrated and accessible cycling network in Clarence. The future plans aim to support active transport by providing better infrastructure, incorporation in future planning projects and long-term ways to make cycling a more attractive and accessible option for Clarence residents.

It offers a range of benefits to our residents and visitors including:

  • Practical and cost-effective transport, particularly for local trips to shops, schools and public transport hubs.
  • Equitable, accessible and independent transport for people who don’t drive or prefer to leave the car at home.
  • A space efficient transport mode, requiring less space than cars on roads or parking at destinations.
  • Reduced traffic congestion.
  • Promotes healthy communities through physical activity, social interaction and local shopping.
  • Reduces carbon and air pollutant emissions in line with council’s adopted Sustainability Strategy 2023.
