On Sunday 9 February residents of the Eastern Shore can enjoy free travel to and from this year’s Australian Wooden Boat Festival.

A free ferry service will run between the Bellerive Ferry Terminal and the Brooke Street Pier in Hobart from 10am to 4pm, providing a scenic way to get to the festival and avoid the busy roads around Hobart.

The ferry service will run throughout the day with the following departure times:

From Brooke Street Pier:

  • 10:00 AM
  • 11:00 AM
  • 12:00 PM
  • 1:00 PM
  • 2:30 PM
  • 3:30 PM

From Bellerive Ferry Terminal:

  • 10:30 AM
  • 11:30 AM
  • 12:30 PM
  • 1:30 PM
  • 3:00 PM

Each ferry can carry up to 107 passengers per trip, ensuring ample space for everyone wishing to attend the festival.

This is thanks to a generous initiative from McConnell Dowell, the construction company behind the new Bridgewater Bridge project.

Mark your calendars, plan your trip on the ferry, and get ready for an unforgettable day at the Australian Wooden Boat Festival!
