Clarence City Council is seeking to commission a Tasmanian-based Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artist to create a distinct artwork for use on the cover and in the promotion of our first Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
This commissioned work will form an important part of our RAP journey, communicating our commitment to reconciliation, learning, respect and celebration of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and culture across the community.
Artists are invited to submit an expression of interest for the artwork commission including examples of past artwork. Following the EOI, a selection of artists will be shortlisted and invited to submit a concept for consideration of the final commission.
Submit your expression of interest via this online form. (Closes on Sunday 7 January)
Artworks in the following visual art mediums are welcome, painting, drawing, printmaking, digital art, illustration, textiles and mixed media.
The final commissioned artist will be supported to translate their resolved artwork to a format for use on the Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan documents and associated promotional material. Clarence City Council will acquire the final artwork for their collection.
