LATEST UPDATE

An Expression of Interest (EOI) will be advertised in this Saturday’s Mercury.

What does that mean?

Interested parties will be able to submit a proposal for the management, maintenance, and operation of the golf course.

Expressions of Interest will then be considered by council and successful applicants will be invited to progress their application to the tender stage.

To make this process fair, equitable, and transparent, all applications will be measured against the Expression of Interest criteria and the requirements of council’s Code for Tenders and Contracts.

This full process will take a few months to give applicants the appropriate amount of time to prepare their applications, as well as allowing council enough time to properly consider each application.

Unfortunately, this means that during this process the Golf Course will remain temporarily closed for golfing.

If you have any further questions, feel free to send us a message or call council on 03 6217 9500.

From 24 April 2021 the operator of the Rosny Park Public Golf Course, YMCA, will cease its management and maintenance of the course.

Council will undertake an Expression of Interest process for the future operations of the Rosny Park Public Golf Course facility.  The EOI process will commence within the coming fortnight. The EOI process and any consequential negotiations and actions are expected to take several months to complete.

In the interest of public safety, the site will be closed as a golfing facility on a temporary basis from 24 April 2021 until any new operator is appointed.

Council will provide basic maintenance to fairways and other infrastructure during the period of temporary closure.

If you have any queries regarding the closure please contact Council’s Acting Manager Communication and Strategic Development, Ms Tanya Doubleday on telephone 6217 9641.
